PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin said all parties must respect the legal process carried out by KPK investigators regarding the Bandung City Smart City program corruption case.

After the Tarawih Tour with Forkopimda at the Pusdai Mosque, Bandung City, on Wednesday (13/3/2024), Bey was asked by journalists about the new suspect announced by the KPK.

"The point is that we have to respect the legal process. Later, when there is an official statement (regarding the name of the suspect), I will convey it. The point is that we respect the legal process," said Bey Machmudin.

Corruption Eradication Committee spokesman Ali Fikri on Wednesday afternoon announced that there were several new suspects from the Smart City corruption development in Bandung City, but their official names had not been announced.

When asked by journalists about the status of the Bandung City Regional Secretary, Bey Machmudin said he had not received any information. "Well, I don't have any information yet, just from the media," said Bey.
