PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. GARUT - Acting. The Regent of Garut, Barnas Adjidin, opened the Regional Work Meeting of the Proud Kencana Rembuk Stunting Program and the Inauguration of the 2024 Digital Era Youth Parenting Management to Prevent Violence (PAAREDI CEKAS), at the Fave Hotel Garut (8/3/2024).

On this occasion, Acting. The Regent emphasized that with the population of Garut Regency reaching 2,665,273 people, improving human resources is a necessity to achieve sustainable progress.

Human resource development, according to him, is not only an effort to improve the quality of human resources, but also a foundation for strengthening the nation's cultural resilience and forming an advanced, modern and characterful mentality.

2024, he added, is the final year for achieving the 2020-2024 National Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMN). In this context, Barnas emphasized the importance of the Garut Regency Regional Medium Term Development Planning to focus on the Family Development, Population and Family Planning Program (Bangga Kencana) and achieve the target of 14 percent reduction in stunting prevalence in Indonesia.

"Collaboration is the main key. Without the spirit of collaboration, the development activities carried out will be partial and will not have a significant impact on society," he stressed.

Therefore, Acting The Regent encourages every policy maker in various sectors to formulate programs that have leverage in developing human resources in Garut Regency.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Population Control Service for Family Planning, Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (DPPKBPPPA) of Garut Regency, Yayan Waryana, said that this activity was intended to evaluate the previous year's achievements as well as formulate policies and strategies for working on the Bangga Kencana program entity and the Acceleration of Stunting Reduction in 2024.

Meanwhile, the aim of this regional working meeting is how to re-synergize our shared vision, mission, commitment and perspective which is realized into a work plan according to the main tasks and functions of each regional apparatus entity at various levels towards the achievement of the Bangga Kencana Program and the Acceleration of Stunting Reduction in Garut Regency. This event was attended by 250 offline participants and 358 online field officer participants, showing a shared commitment to human resource development in Garut Regency.
