PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. GARUT - Garut Regent Rudy Gunawan was the ceremonial inspector in commemoration of the 59th National Health Day (HKN) at the Garut Regional Secretariat Field, Wednesday (22/11/2023). The Regent expressed his appreciation for the Primary Care Integration (ILP) award received by Garut Regency from the Indonesian Minister of Health.
"Garut Regency has an effective strategy to overcome public health problems because the integration of primary services is great throughout Indonesia," he said.
Regent Gunawan highlighted the achievement of reducing the stunting rate from 35% to 23%, so that Garut Regency received a fiscal incentive of IDR 6,407,130,000 for stunting reduction performance.
He is committed to allocating these funds to purchase formula milk, according to needs.
"And I will return the money to the Health Service, please buy formula milk. We buy milk, give it according to what is needed," he said.
Apart from that, Garut Regency achieved 1st place in Open Defecation Free (ODF) in West Java and 3rd place at national level. The Regent appreciated the head of the community health center and plans to repair 40 sub-health centers next year.
"We have also prepared full salaries for 1,500 PPPK health workers, perhaps the current ones who graduated yesterday in Tasik," he said.
Secretary of the Garut District Health Service, Yodi Sirodjudin, stated that the objectives of the 59th HKN Commemoration at the Garut District level include encouraging partnership programs in the health sector to support health transformation. Apart from that, this commemoration also aims to support the promotion of healthy lifestyles in Indonesia at every life cycle through cross-sector collaboration to create a healthier Indonesia.
"Increasing knowledge awareness, awareness about health issues, and reminding the public about the importance of maintaining health. And improving the quality of health services," he said.
The theme for the 59th HKN Commemoration in 2023 is "Health Transformation for Advanced Indonesia". He said, this theme was taken because the 59th HKN is a momentum for health transformation to move forward through 6 pillars, namely transformation of primary services, transformation of referral services, transformation of the health resilience system, transformation of the health financing system, transformation of health resources, and transformation of health technology.
Free Cataract Surgery Social Service at the Samarang, Karangsari and Limbangan Community Health Centers is one of HKN's activities. Awards are given to health workers and health facilities who achieve achievements, as well as across sectors that contribute to public health.

6. Jeni Susmandiah, S.Kep from Cilawu Community Health Center received an award as an Exemplary Nurse for Garut Regency with the innovation PERMATA (Friendly Care for Toddlers)
7. Suratman Abdillah Fajar, from the Citeras Community Health Center, received an award as an Exemplary Nutritionist for Garut Regency with the Wangi Kopi innovation (Pentahelik Collaboration Sustainable Nutrition food area)
8. Eulis Dahniar, SKM, MMKes from Pasundan Community Health Center received the Garut Regency Exemplary Promkes award with the innovation RUBAKO (Smoke Free House)
9. Sindy Yolanda, Amd, Kes from Puskesmas Sukasenang received the Garut Regency Exemplary ATLM award with the JEBOL innovation (Pick Up the Ball for Laboratory Examination)
10. Jupri Pringadi, STr.Kes from the Banjarwangi Community Health Center received an award as an Exemplary Dental and Oral Therapist in Garut Regency with the innovation of Transforming Dental and Oral Health in the 4.0 era
