PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. GARUT - Two houses belonging to residents were hit by fallen trees after being hit by strong winds. This incident occurred in Selaawi Village and Mekarwangi Village, Garut Regency, Tuesday (12/3/2024).

In Selaawi Village, a house belonging to a resident named Enjang Setiawan, was hit by a tree at around 14.00 WIB, with material losses of approximately IDR 2,000,000. Meanwhile, in Mekawangi Village, a tree fell on Pirman's house, at around 16.00 WIB. As a result of this incident, Pirman's house suffered serious damage.

The Talegong sub-district continues to coordinate with related agencies, apart from that the local village government immediately evacuated residents affected by the disaster, and also carried out mutual cooperation in cleaning up tree debris.

In the midst of the extreme weather that has occurred recently, the public is advised to always be alert and remain careful.
